I am a story teller. That may take many forms. Acting, writing, directing, choreography. Bottom line -- I love to create. Be it my own work or a collaboration or bringing to life someone else's vision -- the end result is always the same. Something is there that wasn't there before! Now, the best is when I can do all them in one project.

I've worked as an actor, choreographer, director and creator on dozens of original shows and show openings.

As a director and chorogrgapher you need the see the beginning and the end -- its ok not to know the exact route there (that's called the creative process) but, you need to be the one leading the charge and have a clear vision of the final product.

I've been studying and performing the art of swordfighting for over 12 years and I believe that all fights should be acted ... not fought. All direction, fight choreography and action should further the story.

Below are some shows I have helped create, either from my own noodle or as a collaborator or performer.

The Longshoremen

I was with Odd-o-ts entertainment fro several years. Physical Comedy, Slap Shtick and Improv!

Two guys straight from Ringling Bros. Circus.

They are the kings of physical comedy and I was able to help develop several shows and ideas along with them to perform at Seaworld.

They were and are this gem of talent and continue to work all over Florida and the county.

It's hard to describe what a wonderful experience this was. The guys are dear friends and I wish them well.

Orlando Shakespeare Festival

I have worked with the Orlando Shakespeare Festival on several occasions. Which is great, because Shakespeare is the reason I starting swordfighting, which led to choreography, then to directing and well I've always put pen to paper ... you get the idea.

I've taught workshops and choreographed and worded as a fight director on several shows for them.

Romeo and Juliet, King Lear and Cyrano de Bergerac to name a few.

The Artistic Director told was quoted as saying these were the best fights ever put on their stage.

Arg! A pirate show

I was asked to fight direct a huge 30 man pirate show! And so, I did. It was for Seaworld's Spooktacular Halloween event.

It was the end of the night featured show for Seaworld that year.

Tim Bell was my fight partner for this event and I later hired him for the Driskul shows at the Gaylord.

Seaworld Spooktaculart the Director and I divided up the show ... I took the huge 30 plus person fight scene and he and Muffett did everything else.

I don't know who's to blame for naming it.

Mike Mayhall has done fight choreography. Sword fighting. Stunts Choreography for live event shows. Tevelvision and Movies.

Mike Mayhall does a swordfighting show called Skull and Bones.

Skull and Bones is a two man comedy swordfighting show. Skull and Bones has worked at Walt Disney World - to name a big place.

Mike Mayhall also does improv coomedy. Mike Mayhall has been doing improv comedy for several years.
